Dominique
Dominique's story was first spearheaded by Kristi Larson at the Northern Hills Training Center in Spearfish, SD. She had known Dominique for years and reached out to nye horisonter's Christopher Larson about telling Dominique and her family's story. Over the course of five days, Christopher Larson, Jordan Layton, and Laura Larson lived with the family, capturing their daily life. The goal of the film was to present Dominique and her family in a way that would start a conversation about how we perceive individuals with disabilities.

On the film, Christopher says, "When we first decided to do a documentary on Dominique, it was because we were astounded at the elk she shot. As we spent more time with Dominique and her family, we realized just how much they had to teach us, with Dominique leading the way. We learned to view Dominique through her abilities and not her disabilities. This journey has been a life's lesson to us and hopefully, by the end of this documentary, it will impact change in the way we view people with disabilities."
